Heart Attack or Assassination? Zackary Ledlow

Heart Attack or Assassination?

Zackary Ledlow
Just yesterday there was an Iraqi politician that died of heart attack.  His name was Ahmed Chalabi.  Chalabi was one of the main Iraqi politicians that was feeding the Bush administration information about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.  One could say that Chalabi was a very major player in the Iraqi was decision.  Chalabi was 71 years old when he died of what is being called a heart attack.
The question that I am wondering is, did this man die of natural causes or was there foul play involved?  We know that the American government has a history of attempted assassinations when it comes to people that we do not align with.  We know that throughout many different administrations there were attempt at various different heads of states’ lives.  We also know that there were, in fact, not weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.  The reasons that we went to Iraq were really all just a sham.
I think that this possibly could have been the murder of Mr. Chalabi.  It could have been staged that he suffered from a heart attack and died.  Chalabi could have been injected with a drug to induce a heart attack thus resulting in his death.  Chalabi had become much less popular after it was revealed that Iraq did not have the weapons that he claimed that they did.
This was not the only issue that Chalabi had with the United States though.  Chalabi was also accused of leaking American code breaking information to Iran.  Chalabi denied these accusations until his death.
So we have two very clear reasons why the United States would not like Chalabi.  Were there other things that he had done or was about to do that were not in the interests of the United States?  Was it decided to get rid of him before he could do anymore damage?  In a sense, to silence him and all the secrets that he may have known.
I think that the United States government can, will, and does silence people that are not in on the same page as them.  Snowden leaked a lot of secrets that were damning to the conduct of the government.  What did the government do?  They got angry and claim to want to prosecute Snowden.  But would the government have killed him if they would have known what he was about to do?  One could argue that it would have been harder to kill a citizen and cover it up or even stage it to be the result of something else.  It would be much easier to stage the death and kill someone from another country however.  Especially since this person was already in his seventies.
The world may never know what truly happened.  What I am saying is only a possibility of what may have happened.  I am in no way saying that is what happened for sure.  Just a theory that came to my mind when I heard of the death of such a controversial person.  Someone who did not always get along with the United States government and may have made a very big enemy.

Chalabi was a much respected politician in Iraq and in this area of the world.  Hopefully he is remembered for all the good that he did for his country and not for some of the negative things that he was accused of.  Food for thought though, heart attack or really an assassination?
