The Dubai climate summit, according to Bill Gates, will makes great strides in recovering climate change. Despite this however, Gates states that with the current situation of the world, we can expect to overshoot the 2C temperature change that scientists claim to have irreversible results on the planet. The summit could not have come at a more perfect time as countries are on track to record some of the hottest years to date. Gates says that as we are on track of going over the limit, just how bad we are is to be determined at the summit, it is important to help people to adapt to the new climates. Currently, pledges under the Paris Agreement are not on track to help reduce planetary temperatures and more action will be needed. Gates ads that we will have many positive things in to the future, but it is important to make climate change a priority, especially as there is much polarization on the topic.
