Food crisis in Mali, climate change and affects of violence.

The United Nations warns that hunger could surge across the West and Central Africa next year. This can be the cause of violence in the conflict riddled region.

Almost 50 million people can face food insecurity and 2.5 million people are already on the brink of starvation. The main driver of food insecurity is violence. Particularly in Central Sahel, past the Sahara desert has faced the most repercussions.

There are more affects  happening across the border in Burkina Faso, Mali, from climate change, server floods, and droughts. There are more than 10 millions people living in the area.

As some cities and rural places face the affects harder it has made it extremely difficult to get relief. Soaring costs have made it harder for people to buy food.

40% of people who were food insecure this year did not get aid and who did received less than 50 % of the full rations they were promised.
