Merchant Vessel in Southern Red Sea was struck

Iranian-backed Houthi militants in Yemen fired a missile to a merchant vessel sailing in the southern Red Sea. They have targeted and launched missiles and drones to ships sailing in a region that shows support for Hamas in the war with Israel. They have seized the Bahamian-flagged Galaxy Leader while it sailed in the Red Sea because it was linked to Israel.

U.S officials have stated that they also have the right to get involved and deserve the right to respond to the Houthi attacks at a time and place of their choosing.

It was confirmed that Trade operations received a report of an attack on a commercial vessel sailing 15 nautical miles west of the port of Mocha, Yemen.

The attack consisted of some damage and a fire but no casualties have been reported.
