A suicide bomber detonated his explosive-laden vehicle at a police stations main gate in north eastern Pakistan, The bomb killed 23 troops, wounding 32 and caused part of the building to collapse.
This attack was one of the deadliest in recent months, it had also damaged some shops nearby.
The damage was caused by a newly form group, Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan.
Before the bombing there was an hourlong shoot out at the police station.
Six of the members were killed. They targeted the police station in Pakistan because the borders of the city is located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which borders Afghanistan and a former stronghold of the Taliban.
There was a large amount of security forces from across Pakistan were recently deployed at the station for intelligence operations against the militants in the area.
