President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, expelled Israeli’s envoy for criticizing the president’s outspoken support of Palestinians. He told them that he should apologize and leave. The president compared the Israeli military operations to the Nazi persecution of the Jewish people during the Holocaust. He also stated that he would end foreign relations with Israel as Colombia does “not support genocides.” Israel was one of Colombia’s biggest arms suppliers, & they cut off operations after he made this statement public.
