Bobi, world’s oldest dog, dies in Portugal at age of 31 (217 in dog years)
And now for something completely different: Bobi, a Portuguese Rafeiro do Alentejo has died. He is the oldest dog which the Guinness Book of World records has verified. Bobi’s human family attributes his longevity to diet and love. He, a big ol’ loveable mixed breed lived on a Mediterranean diet, devoid of ultra-processed kibble or canned foods and according to our anthropomorphic understanding of canine behavior he knew he was well loved.
It appears that the Beatles may have been on to something: All You Need is Love. A Mediterranean diet and a loving family wouldn’t hurt either, but that besides the point.
